Maybe we should give ARRL the address to Midwest Trophy?

Subject: [OKDXA] DXCC Plaques from ARRL HQ
I ordered a 5 band DXCC plaque on October 1st. I still have not received the
plaque from ARRL so I sent an email to the DXCC desk at ARRL HQ. I found out
that the delay in sending out the DXCC award plaques is due to the shipping
backlog of stuff coming to the USA from China. The plaques come from China. A
batch of 5 band DXCC plaques arrived from China in Newington just before
Thanksgiving.
I sent a note to the DXCC desk a couple of days ago asking the ARRL what the
status is. How could it be that my plaque has not arrived given that the ARRL
got a batch of them at Thanksgiving time? The answer I received is they ran out
of endorsement medallions. I was told that the medallions are in transit from
China.
I don't know how these medallions are coming from China. If they are in a small
package that is in a shipping container on a boat that is waiting for dock space
at the ports of Los Angeles / Long Beach it could be awhile before the
medallions arrive in Newington.
Bottom line: The supply chain for DXCC plaques could include stuff that comes
from China so expect delays due to stuff being held up due to shipping delays.
Evidently, paper awards are printed by ARRL in Newington. I submitted LOTW QSLs
for the 10m DXCC paper certificate back in September and it came within a week.
