VU - India
Good Morning OKDXA...
Just for grins, I searched my log for VU - India. I found 44 QSOs, dating
back to 1976. Of those 44, 3 were on SSB, 28 were on CW, and 13 were on FT8.
Since 2017, 3 QSOs were on CW, 13 were on FT8. The 3 stations worked on CW
were VU2NXM on 20, VU2CPL on 17, and VU2GSM on 40. I have heard VU2GSM many
times, he is very active with a good signal. The FT8 QSOs were on 17, 30,
and 20 meters, more on 20 than anywhere else. In the year 2020, I had 10 FT8
VU QSOs and only 2 on CW. So, bottom line is, for an ATNO you work them
where you can and your best bet to work a VU for a new one is to look for
them on FT8... Working them on CW is great too. I still need a couple on
CW.. hi.. But, like it or not, the game has changed and it's probably easier
to work a new one on FT8 than any other mode... And I'm an old CW guy...
hi...
DX Is!
73,
Jeff - K5WE
