BUT, if we don't build antennas for it and use it, we may lose it anyway!
It can be a nice band for fairly close in QSOs during day and night.

Subject: [OKDXA] FW: ZL - 60 Meters Allocation - Not 60 Meter WAS

Just for the record... My post to the reflector of the New Zealand letter
regarding the ending of 60 meter privileges for ZL hams had nothing to do
with 60 meter WAS. It was simply a posting of an informational document I
ran across which I thought might be of interest to OKDXA reflector
subscribers. As part of my role as Sec/Treas, I occasionally post things to
the reflector that I hope might be of interest. I'm aware that 60 meter
QSO's do not count toward ARRL awards, a separate issue... If we don't use
the band, within the proper constraints as outlined in the "60 Meter FAQ" on
the ARRL website, we may end up losing it, like New Zealand...
Have fun everyone... Hope you work a new one...

Jeff - K5WE
