[OKDXA] OKDXA Simplex Frequency

As a reminder of an informal suggestion from Jeff Martin K5WE: let's try
147.54 FM as an OKDXA calling frequency. There aren't many of us and my
2 m antennas consist of a corner reflector at about 52 ft and a discone
(1/4 wave equivalent) at about 56 ft. It ain't great, but I'll leave my
2m rig tuned there on the discone and listen for any calls. The local
repeater has become a bit... boring.

When I was in Colorado, I was a member of the Mile High DX Association
and we used 146.43 as a club simplex frequency. There were enough of us
along the Front Range that a fair number could talk to each other. At
the time, a few members also operated a DX cluster on 2 m packet, with a
70 cm link across the Continental divide to the Western Slope so they
could get spots as well. Jeff has had little luck in the Tulsa area, but
there are several of us here in the OKC area and we may have some luck.
If anyone knows of a state-wide linked system we could use, let us know!

See you in the pileups,

Kim N5OP
