With some advice from Tim Duffy, K3LR, I searched on Google
for Fernco products. My mast is 2" and I use a Rohn thrust
bearing about 6 feet down from the top of the tower with the
Tailtwister another 6 feet down.

At both locations, I installed the Fernco P-1056-42 coupling.
This shields the tower "tube" AND the thrust bearing from any
rain penetration. Appropriately sized hose clamps will tighten
the Fernco piece firmly on the mast a both places.

My tower is currently "laid over" for installation and securing
of all the coax and control cables for 8 antennas plus a spare.
