HI ROGER,  I LOST THE FINALS ON ONE SIDE OF MY ALS1306 ALSO, IT IS STILL AT AMERITRON WAITING FOR REPAIRS, THEY ARE WAITING FOR PARTS FTO COME FROM CHINA.
SURE WILL BE GLAD TO GET IT BACK, SPOILED NOT HAVING TO TUNE WHEN CHANGING BANDS.  USING MY OLD ALPHA 89 NOW, BUT NEED TO GET A NEW 3CX800A TUBE, ONE IS OUT SO ONLY GETTING KW OUT.

Hopefully band condx will improve in coming months years. The 
propagation to VP8PJ was erratic. If it wasn't for FT8 I probably would 
have only had QSOs with South Orkney on 20m. But FT8 allowed me to also 
work him on 80, 40, and 17 meters.  Right now I'm still waiting for the 
VP8 operation to post their complete log so I know that all of my QSOs 
are actually "in his log".

I just bought a new linear. My old solid state linear [Ameritron 1306] 
just couldn't handle the 50% key down duty cycle of FT8 F/H mode.

I near Tinker AFB in SE OKC.
