Hi Kim & Gary,
The Op is Ken, LA7GIA. He is a decent CW op, but on this trip so far he
has not been on the right bands at the right times to favor stateside. Right
now at around 4PM our time he is on 40 meters calling CQ Asia. Evenings
would be a good time for us first on 20, then 30 or 40. He has often been on
160 working Europe in the evenings our time. Mornings our time should be
good for 20 long path, but he has been spotted on 20 calling CQ JA. I
checked clublog stats which show 8% of his QSO's with NA, 70% with Europe,
and 21% with Asia. I was surprised to see that I am in the log on 40 meter
CW. I remember calling him one of the first days he was there, late evening,
but didn't know I worked him... hi... He has a kilowatt, verticals and
dipoles, and beverages for receive. He reported having problems with his 2
element tribander, so he may be on a dipole for those bands, or he may have
fixed it... Just being in that place, as a westerner, takes a lot of
courage... Good Luck, hope you work Ken...

73,
Jeff - K5WE

I haven't yet heard them strong enough to work in the evenings. Has
anyone gotten them in the evenings?

Also: PLEASE RSVP for the OKDXA Banquet!

Kim N5OP
