Subject: [OKDXA] For Sale: Cushcraft A144-20T (Twist) Antenna
Just in case anybody here has interest in satellite work, I offer the subject antenna.
This antenna was designed with two separate 10 element Yagi beams to provide 20 elements of circularly polarized signal (left OR right) on 2 meters for satellite work. It is currently assembled, but has never been put up. The element sizes are identical for each of the two 10 element Yagis (horizontal and vertical) to cover satellite frequencies. I bought it thinking I would use it horizontal for 2m SSB/CW and vertical for 2m FM. My mistake, somebody else's gain!
What I really need, and have ordered, is the A147-20T which has very different element lengths to optimize for SSB/CW in the low 144 MHz range and for FM and/or packet in the 145.5 - 148 MHz range.
Antenna comes complete with the never used phasing harness pieces to select left or right circular polarization.
Asking $100. Current new price runs over $225.
As I stated, my goof, somebody else's gain.
