I am about in the same place Doug, I have 324 confirmed and the stuff I
need is either uninhabited (Crozet, South Sandwich, Marion Island, Bouvet),
inhabited but not with any hams (VU4, VU7, ZD9), not likely to be on the
air soon (YK, P5), or just difficult paths with my little pistol station
(A5, 9N, S2).

I am pretty much waiting for DXpeditions to occur as well, while working on
new band and mode countries. Most of my new band countries are coming on
60 meters, although I did work 5V for a new 17m country the other day. I
know the ARRL doesn't count 60 meters towards awards, but you have to do
something to keep DXing exciting and maybe someday they will. They didn't
count 30 meter QSOs either when we first were given access to that band.

Two countries I can never work when they are activated are ZD9 and 6O/T5.
Neither should be that difficult of a path, I just never have any luck with
them. I think there is someone on right now from Somaliland but he is
running 50 watts to an ATAS antenna or something like that. Mount Athos
should be easy as well but Monk Apollo's operation is rather sporadic and
breaking through the European and East Coast wall seems nearly impossible.

I sure hope Bouvet comes off. My last ATNO was Kosovo only because the
ARRL changed the rules to create a new one. I think my most recent new one
before that was Heard Is.
