CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL ON MELLISH REEF, MANAGED TO GET THEM ON 15,17,20,AND 30M CW TODAY WITH MY HEX-BEAM AT 18FT, VERY LUCKY HI. BEEN TRYING TO WORK 3C1L ON 80M CW BUT NO LUCK SO FAR, HEARING THEM BUT UNABLE TO WORK SO FAR, USING HEX-BEAM FOR RECEIVE AND VEE FOR TRANSMIT ANT; WOULD LIKE TO GET MELLISH ON LOW BANDS. LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING BOUVET NEXT YEAR.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL

FB to all on working Mellish Reef. Before this current DXpedirtion I
needed VK9 on 10, 15, 30 and 80.

I worked VK9MA on 15 CW and 17 CW in the last couple of days.

I heard him on very very weak and not workable at about 6AM local time
this morning. I am going to try to wake up at about 3AM local time and
see if I can work him on 30m. According to VOACAP the best opening to
Central USA is from about 3AM to 5AM Central Time.

I don't think there is much liklihood I'll be able to work him on either
10m or 80m because of a combination of marginal antennas and/or mediocre
band conditions.
