To OKDXA Reflector:

[1] Gene: Thanks for your many years of service to OKDXA. You have been
one of the keystones to the success of the OKDXA over the last 10 years.

[2] All OKDXA members: This is an opportunity for some new blood in our
leadership. As many of you know I was the VP for a few years. I enjoyed
doing my small part as one of the officers of the OKDXA. My most visible
role was bringing the foldup display board to the hamfests. Also, I did
a few other miscellaneous things. I had to declare that I would not run
for VP again because of the XYL's health. The time demands of the VP are
very very small. But at the very least as the VP, I should show up at
the two Okla Hamfests each year as well as the banquet in the Fall. My
wife has MS that has become more severe in recent years. She is at the
threshold where she sometimes needs significant care. For example, she
needs a power scooter to get around and sometimes needs help doing
routine stuff like getting into or out of a chair. It could be that some
medical event would happen which would not allow me to go to one of the
hamfests and/or the banquet. That is why I did not seek an additional
term as VP or run for President.
