It will be interesting to see what happens when they setup on Spit Bay 
which is on the eastern tip of Heard Island. Maybe with EU and the East 
Coast of NA obstructed by Mawson Peak guys here in flyover country will 
be able to break through. According to VOACAP 17m and 40m seems possible 
at selected times of the day. Maybe with less competition I'll be able 
to work VK0EK on those bands. As of now, I have "just barely" been able 
to hear VK0EK and that was on 20m CW where I was able to have a QSO  
with him at about 0515 UTC -- i.e. just past midnight Central Daylight 
Time.

P.S. I just looked at my DXCC talley via LOTW. Sure enough, Kingman Reef 
is now shown on my DXCC Award Credit Report as "deleted". In my case 
this is good since I never worked Kingman. So deleting Kingman puts me 
one entity closer to the Honor Roll without actually doing anything.
