Well, if each of you will please QRX until Killing Jesus is over! The K5YAA of VK0EK is a pretty good one but if isn't a match for the greatest story ever told and anyway Jesus likely wouldn't appreciate me watching my iPhone channel instead of the one his life story is on so if you will please QRX 90. I will complete my Heard adventure later this evening or first thing in the morning.
Briefly see if you can Heard Heard
(an echo) at around 5:30am local on 10.115.99. If you can Heard Heard answer his CQ, yes CQ as only a couple 8 landers were calling him and he couldn't hear them. The only two signals on the band besides those two unheard 8s was HC2AO and Alex left to hunt Easter eggs right after snagging EK.
I actually think Alex worked a seal that had commandeered a Vibroplex!
After I figured out EK was sending
DN 1 and not UP 1 I bagged him for the family members with three successive callas. I was looking for a massive pileup but hear was one of the most desolate places on earth calling CQ. It was until 6:30 local that any action started up at all. Ahuge string of JAs started in with a BAtosswd in now and then for good measure. I was Hearding both sides if every Q. A handful of stout VKs started in about 6:45 local. now the East Coast about 6;55. Nil NA Qs even though some big East coasters were hollering. A couple of 4s sent 5NN TU but didn't make an actual Q.
At 7AM sharp the peace officers showed up. DN DN DN LID! Not sure who they were ticketing 'cause not one NA station had been worked since 5:30 when I bagged 'em. I turned the K3 off at 7:30 at which time EK had drifted down to S4 and began working Euros along with JAs and a handful of UA0s and 9s. Roughly an hour later the only EK spots I saw were for 80/160. More to the story as I sort of chronicled blow by blow actions of a top CW man.
73 for now and good hunting!
Jerry - K5YAA
P.S. Keep your chin up. N5KD Pete in Dallas has fetched VK0EK on 15/20/30/40/80 using a Butternut vertical a leaning against a redwood fence and a KOA500 amp. the 500 stands for 1/2 a gallon!
The 15 Meter Q Pete made put him on the Honor Roll.

The trimming was sort of akin to shortening your sideburns with a sharp pair of hedge trimmers or perhaps sitting in Floyd's barbershop on Mayberry's Main Street getting your ear hairs pulled out while listening to Barney carry on about his single bullets worth of firepower.
