   HI KIM,  DON'T GIVE UP. HOPE YOU CAN GET THEM, I AM ONLY RUNNING INVERTED VEE AT 36FT AT APEX, ABT 10FT FROM GROUND ON ENDS.  VERY LIGHT COPY BUT HE HAS GOOD EARS THERE SEEMS LIKE.

They sounded just OK last night on 30 m at my QTH, but I was not 
confident that I could break through the pile up in the time I had. They 
sound much weaker tonight. My antennas aren't very competitive on 30 m: 
a rotatable dipole is what I have. Maybe propagation will become more 
favorable later...
