FLASH:
I just saw a copy of an E-mail from the VP8STI guys. They had a very
very difficult time landing due to huge waves. One of the people in the
team fell into the ocean but was rescued. They lost a 6KW generator.
They are working now to setup more antennas.
Here are some of the points from the e-mail
They are missing parts from some critical antennas
They are experiencing voltage sags from their generators
Right now they have only one 6Kw generator for the whole operation
They still don't have any antennas up for 40, 80, or 160 but they hope
to have them up by the end of today == that is today their local time.
This Email I am referencing was sent out from Paul N6PSE who is one of
the leaders of the DXpedition. It was sent at 10:15AM Central Time.
