Their original plan called for, as they called it, “8 full days of QRV from S. Georgia”. Not sure if that weather-related delay in retrieving their equipment from S. Sandwich has impacted the original plan or not.
They first hit the air from S. Georgia on 2/2 so conceivably they could be on until 2/10.
They are a great deal stronger from S. Georgia, not having that mountain between them and the central usa like they had on S. Sandwich, creating an almost perfect central usa filter.
The pileups are still quite large but not nearly what they were the first couple of days, so hopefully that will be of benefit to those still needing to get in their log.
