[OKDXA] K1N Well... &%#^$&!

I may also have "worked" a pirate this morning on 40 CW. That "Q" at 0737z does not show on ClubLog either.

The station was quite weak and I had just worked (confirmed) them on 80 SSB at 0716z where they had a very stout signal.

Hopefully, later log updates will show a valid contact. As of Saturday evening, the last update had been on Friday and ClubLog stated the final updated would not be until after the DXpedition had shut down.

With an Alfa-Delta DX-CC multi-band dipole at about 23 or so feet and a Force 12 Sigma-V vertical mounted about 30" above ground and 100W with IC-7410, I guess I should be glad I worked them at all! (10, 15, and 80 on SSB and 12, 15, and 20 on CW)

MORAL? Never delete any Q from log until other station says no Q in log.

I may have worked pirates both of those times (it seemed rather easy) so rather than add to confusion, I removed those from my log. I should probably look again, but given that I culled the 160 and 30 entries and I never completed the one with the equipment malfunction and so never logged it, I can't get credit now because I've no way to match my log to theirs.

I'm not using the keyer in the rig, but instead my lovely old Kansas City Keyer KC1. I'd plugged my call into one memory and TU 5NN into another. I punch the memory button for "TU 5NN" and... Nothing! NOTHING! In panic I try the paddles. Zilch! They call me three times! THREE TIMES! And I can't send anything from my keyer. I can't switch the plug to the rig's keyer in time... They go onto the next call.
