I had the same problem on 10m SSB today. They were listening over a 20 khz
range, and couldn't figure out a pattern to their listening, and couldn't
hear many of the stations they were working. Need them on 10m for a new
band country, and it is the only HF band which I have a directional antenna
on, so that is probably my best chance for a new band country out of them.
The pileup behavior was terrible as well.
As someone said earlier, I hate SSB pileups, but if that is the only mode
they are using on 10m, I guess I will play their game.
