DXCC Honor Roll Breaks 5K Mark
December 18, 2015
I look at the DXCC statistics during the Holiday season each year. I
have been doing this on a regular basis since 2010 and on a sporadic
basis since 2006.
When I looked at the statistics today I notice that the number of DXers
on the Mixed Honor Roll was exactly 5000. It is usually the case that
the number of people on the Mixed DXCC lists increases a little each
day. So today could be the very first time since the inception of the
DXCC program that the number of DXers on the honor roll has broken
through the 5K threshold.
Here is some tabular information.

Source for all information is ARRL website. Method used to process each
list is this:
(a) display standings on ARRL website in web browser {Each business day
the MIXED, PHONE, CW,
and RTTY standing for that day are posted}
(b) Perform "select-all", "copy", and "paste" to copy text for each
listing
from browser to a set of uniquely named blank text files which
are going to receive the text copied
from the ARRL site
(c) Process the text files using program written in Visual Basic.
