Scott:

One more tidbit.  When you are near Adair on Hwy 10 stop in the Delaware welcome center and get
yourself one of their free coffees.  Might be nice if the WX is cold like year 2010.

Greetings OKDXA,

I am building up a plan to work the OKQSO party as a mobile. Currently I
plan on operating 20 and possibly 40 Meters.

I am seeing advice to estimate my route and stop times. I have planned a
trip to hit ~16 counties in the next party with a operating expectation of
45 minutes per county.  I plan to stop in a safe location at specific times
and operate for 45 Minutes while in the county (no county lines QSOs).

Does 45 minutes seem long enough for each county.  I would hate to get a
pileup and have to leave but I would also hate to not show up for someone
counting on me.

Does this seem like a reasonable first mobile attempt?

RULES - Is it legal to have my daughter ride with me and use my call while
I drive? She is a tech but I will be at the control point the entire time.
(example- fieldday)

What is a good frequency to advertise that people should look for me at or
around?

Proposed map and schedule.

The top is the route, the bottom image shows the counties.

This is not set in stone yet.  Planning, Planning, Planning.

I could also use some help testing my setup Saturday.  I will be on my way
to Fayetteville, AR. in the am and should be returning sometime after 1pm
If my schedule holds good over the next 2 days I will have the radio wired
and ready in the truck. More to come as the weekend gets closer.

If you can think of anything I should consider, please let me know.
