John,

I really didn't pay any attention to the size of the pileup, but it was
clear that our area was enjoying exceptional propagation.

They have been on 20 meters almost 24/7 since the operation began. I
already had (from a previous expedition) Amsterdam confirmed on 20 cw,
so I never bothered there, so I decided to add a phone contact to my
totals. That was (ironically) the easiest qso I made with this group.

I am in their log on all bands except 160 now....so that is my current
challenge. So far I have not heard them well enough to turn on the
amplifier and give them a call. We are in a kind of dead zone where it
is always daylight here when it is dark there and vise versa. Absorption
was low enough over the path to permit good propagation on 80 meters,
but so far has thwarted my attempts on top band.
