Wow, Coy. That is a real story of perseverance. As Winston Churchill said
once,
"Never, never, never, never, give up". I see you are up there in FT5ZM's
log on seven band/mode slots.
I worked him Friday morning local time on 12m CW which I didn't think would
be possible given my antenna.
Also, I'm 99% sure I worked him on 15m SSB [2050UTC], but won't have
confirmation of this until he updates his online log again.
I tried to work him this evening [Sat evening from 6PM to 8PM Central Time]
on 30m CW but couldn't break the logjam. He was running at a fast clip and
running solid NA. He was running about 70% W5, W3, W1, W2 with the rest
W5, W8, and W0 with a couple of VE, XE. I think I'll give him a shot for the
next couple of evenings down there on 30m and see what happens.
I didn't know what to expect. However, I thought working him would be next
to impossible, but diligence pays off.

Coy,
That was a very strange opening. I was hearing FT5ZM two hours after
sunrise (S3). Couldn't break the west coast wall, though. Did work them
on 80 a few minutes ago, though. Now only need 160 and 12.
