About 15 minutes ago I worked VU7AG on 17 meter CW for a new band. Running 
100 watts into a Cushcraft R-6000 Vertical at 30 feet!

Congratulations!!!!!  That is unbelievable to work him using a vertical with 
"only" 100W.

I thought I worked him a few minutes ago (i.e. 2217UTC on 29Nov) on 
18085.0Khz CW (listening up at 18094.0Khz). However, a guy called right on 
top of him when he was sending my call -- so it could be he was not really 
sending my call.  But I do know the call he was sending started with K5 . . 
. .    We will see when his online log is updated if it was me he worked or 
not.
