I think 6 meters might even be a bust. I just checked dxmaps.com and 50
MHz is blank!
Definitely grass mowing time.

==========
The bands are dead over here also. I just saw a spot for Macedonia [Z33Z]
on 15CW so I took a listen. He is less than S1 here and probably not
workable.
I saw a spot for Iran yesterday so I thought I'd see if I could hear him. A
bunch of guys on the east coast were calling him and a few worked him but I
couldn't even hear him.
I set up a sked with a station in Iran about a year ago but when the time
came we couldn't hear each other. Why is it that when a country I need comes
on I can even hear him? HI HI. I guess IRAN is not that rare but I still
have not worked it on any band or mode.
The guys that had to delay the trip to Heard Island should stage an interim
DXpedition to IRAN.
Iran [EP], Myanmar [XY], PRK [P5], and Eritrea [E3] are the only countries
that I need that have a permanent population and an existing infrastructure.
The rest are islands: Bouvet, Kerguelen, Heard, Wake, Johnston, Amsterdam,
Europa, Navassa, ect.
I also need Turkmenistan, which has a permanent population. I worked at
station there a couple of years ago but the ARRL rejected it because of
"unauthorized operation". I guess ham radio is illegal in Turkmenistan.
I don't have a keyer over here. I just use a straight key which is an old
J-38.
