[W5LE - Gene Lewis]

Just wanted to let all the members know about what's going on in the world of DXpeditions and the OKDXA's support.

During these first few months of 2013, we are contributing the following:

VK0 - Heard Island - $350 (Jan 2014)
K9W- Wake Island - $100 (Oct 2013)
FT5ZM - Amsterdam Island - $500 (Jan 2014)

I want to sincerely thank those of you who stepped up and sent a few extra dollars to the OKDXA account so that we could make our support of the FT5ZM DXpedition a significant amount.  Thanks Roger, Coy, Jim and Ilene, Dan!  Bob Allphin, K4UEE, one of the FT5ZM team members, is not only a good friend but he has helped the OKDXA considerably.  That's why I felt the extra funding was in order for that DXpedition.

On another note, I've started preliminary email communications with San Hutson, K5YY, to get him scheduled to be our featured speaker for the 2013 OKDXA banquet.  San is scheduled to go on a Norfolk Island DXpedition in May.  Because of his schedule, it looks as though we'll be scheduling the banquet toward the end of October this year.
