For those of you who need ZL9, Auckland and Campbell Islands, there is a DXpedition scheduled there in November of this year. I happen to be one of the ones that needs that one.
Also, as you may recall, there was a group headed up by a VK that planned on a DXpedition to Heard Island in January of 2013. They cancelled that one due to funding. Fortunately, there IS a DXpedition to Heard Island in the works in early 2014, which is being headed up by a U.S. ham, with a number of notable DXpeditioners already on board to participate. This happens to be another one that I need, so I'm very excited to be able to report this.

Ham Holiday is fast approaching. It takes place July 27th and 28th at the Biltmore in Oklahoma City. The OKDXA forum is scheduled Saturday, the 28th, from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in Room # 3, the North Ballroom. I see that there are a lot of forums that are running concurrently which creates a lot of competition for attendance but hope to see a lot of you at the OKDXA forum.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for Saturday, October 13th, to attend the annual Oklahoma DX Association banquet. It'll be at 6 p.m. at the Best Western in Stroud.
Our presentation for the night will be "Highlights of 9 of the top 10 Dxpeditions", by Bob Allphin, K4UEE, most recently of HK0NA, Malpelo Island, fame.
The cost is $25 per person. We'll be having a raffle for some very nice goodies from past DXpeditions, including DVD's. Any of you who feel like it can go ahead and mail your funds to reserve your spot at the banquet to Bruce, K5PX. I have several who have already paid in advance for the banquet. As of right now, the following are pre-paid for the banquet:
W5LE, N5PA, K5GZ, K5IH, K5RKS, N5OHL, KK5J
You're all welcome to put out the word to your particular clubs about the banquet and the speaker. Non-club members are welcome to attend. The only stipulation being that, if we ran into a situation where we were maxed out on seating, OKDXA members would, of course, take precedence. Funds would be refunded to non-club members and they would be notified if this situation were to arise. It will be very important to get your RSVP funds ($25) in to Bruce, K5PX, in advance of this event.

73, and see you in the pileups!
Gene
