Jerry,  Keep us posted on your progress to include longitude and latitude.  Also anytime you plan to be on the air.  Drake's Passage is the most infamous spot on the planet for sailors and the ultimate test of seamanship.  What kind of boat do you have?
 
I sailed a 38' Yankee from La Paz to Mazatlan and that was as much as I could handle.  My hat is off to you.....  Russ  WA5NHZ
