Yes from about 1400Z to 1530Z Europe was all over 6 meters. Worked 13 new
countries in EU and at 1815Z worked a KL7, all on CW. This was my first
contacts with Europe.
Interesting seeing the cloud move West and hearing the 6's & 7's working EU.
I worked all the stations with just 100 watts. Can't wait for the amp to be
in later this week.

Anyone else catch the excellent 6 meter opening to EU this morning? This
opening was unusual for a few reasons:
1. It was deep into Europe, as stations in LY, SV, 9A and E7 were being
worked.
2. The stations that were working the above were in 5 and 7 land, not the
normal 1 and 2 land working them.
3. The opening was also into high latitude areas in EU, like SM and OH.
That seems unusual on long haul Es.
I worked 2 stations, DK1MAX and SM5CES which both had decent signals. The
DK1 was CQing with no takers! They are both new countries for me on 6m.
Before this, the only DX I had worked on 6m this Es season was VE, XE, and
VP5. I would have never believed that my first two new countries of the
year would be Germany and Sweden, 2 countries I have never heard on 6m
before.
