Subject: [OKDXA] 2010 Oklahoma QSO Party

Another year and our opportunity for another year of Amateur Radio
activities in Oklahoma.

Consider this the first of a handful of reminders about the 2010 running of
the Oklahoma QSO Party. Prepare your Land Rush mobile be it a Conestoga
wagon, open bed wagon, or bicycle, whatever vehicle you can mount a radio
in and antenna on. Get out and claim as many counties as you can during
the QSO Party time frame. We would like to see all 77 counties claimed and
operated from again this year as they have been the past 3 years. I expect
there will be a number of Land Grabbers waiting at the borders of Texas,
Kansas and Arkansas to claim their stake in this years party. The more the
merrier an event it will be.

Dates for this year's running are March 20 and 21. Soon the rules page
will be posted on the web until then stock up on supplies and grease the
wheels of whatever vehicle you can run in. If you don't like dust, the
possibility of repairs having to be made and stops at far and few between
fuel and eating establishments then plan to operate from a QTH claimed
before the Land Rush begins. In other words, All Sooner operators are
indeed welcomed by those from outside the state and those struggling to
claim counties within.

While you are marking your calendars put the Green Country HamFest on there
for Mar. 13 and 14. The OKDXA will hold a meeting at the fest.
