Yup... I'm talking about over the air TV through a DTV receiver or
converter box. Same rules as VHF / UHF in that a hot & humid late night
or early morning tends to work best, although the reception I was seeing
last week may have been helped by the cool front that blew through late
Wednesday. After I posted the spot I picked up two stations out of
Wichita, KS on Thursday so there was definitely somethin' in the air. No
mention in the weather forecasts of an inversion, but that possibility
does come to mind.

Since then I haven't seen much out of Ft. Smith or Wichita, but 34 in
OKC has been fairly consistent after 10pm or so. Saturday night it was
about 90% solid copy and I started wondering if maybe the station is
licensed to Shawnee and a tad closer than the rest of the OKC stations.
Wikipedia tells me their stick is off of N. Kelley drive in that big,
big antenna farm on the west end of the Turner...

In any case, all I wanted was one piece of RG-6 coming out of the attic
that was good enough for local TV / FM. So far the silly little wire up
there has exceeded all expectations and then some. ;)
