Hi, John:
Congratulations! This gives inspiration to those of us who do not have big
antenna systems (yet).

I went to the mailbox today to find my 5BDXCC (#6469) and 17 meter DXCC
certificates! The 5BDXCC was earned with 100 watts and nothing larger than
a Cushcraft MA5B 2 element yagi. I used either a vertical, dipole, or
random wire on 40 and 80, and a dipole or vertical much of the time on
20-10. If I got back thru the logs I probably got 100 countries on 20, 15,
and 10 with the dipole or vertical! Still can't believe I got 5BDXCC!
I am not bragging about antennas and power level, I just wanted to show what
can be done with a minimal setup if you have some persistance-it only took
me 27 years to get 5BDXCC but then I took a couple of years off at the peak
of cycle 22 while in college.
