Congratulations!   That's a great accomplishment!

One of my Elmers, Woody K5GOE (SK) did his the same way, except I'm
not sure he ever had a vertical ... and I know he never had a beam of
any type at least in his later years.  He was licensed around 1956 or
so and didn't get his 5BDXCC until about 1993, so it does take
persistence.

His accomplishment is why I prefer wire antennas.  210 of 500
confirmed so far, so I'm getting there.  :-)
