Hi ya Kim et al,
When I had the Butternut Vert. set up out in the country I used Electric fence wire on
1/2 mile rolls. Available at Atwoods. I used 1/2 wave radials fer each band in 8 directions.. 80m-10m (lots of wire!)
I also used an edger to cut a groove in the dirt to stick the wires into.
Worked FB.

Subject: [OKDXA] 20 Meters & Radial Wire
I monitor the beacons and this week on the days the sunspots doubled up, not only did 20 meters do well, I was getting beacons from SA and Africa on 17, 15, & 12. So, if only those sunspots were around we'd all be doing better!
Electrical supply houses and Locke Supply may stock bare copper wire. Bare copper is much less expensive and you don't have to strip it. Call around before you waste your time driving.they don't all stock bare copper. And, if you can use insulated wire for radials, they hall have it down to #16 AWG.
Good Luck!!
