The Lone Star DX Association is proud to announce that Eric Scace K3NA,
the co-leader from the recent record breaking VP6DX Ducie Island
DXpedition will be the keynote speaker for the LSDXA's DX Dinner Banquet
at HamCom June 13-14 at the Plano Center, north of Dallas, according to
LSDXA President Tim Pearson, K5AC.
Dinner tickets are $36.00 each and may be ordered through the Ham Com 2008
web site at http://www.hamcom.org and click on the DX dinner block. The
dinner will be in the ballroom of the Holiday Inn Express at 700 Central
Expressway (U.S.
Highway 75)at 6:30 p.m.

General admission is $8 each.
Scace has considerable DXpedition experience having been a team member of
thefollowing DXpeditions: FO0DX Clipperton Island, VK9ML Mellish Reef,
YK0A Syria, 3D2XX Rotuma, ZA1A Albania, AH3C/KH5J Jarvis Island, plus Lord
Howe Island and Norfolk Island.
In addition, he has operated from Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Curacao, ITU
Geneva, Puerto Rico, Israel, Seychelles, China, Australia, Aland Island,
France, Spain, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, and European Russia.
According to the Ducie Island website, the DXpedition made 183,686 QSOs, a
DXpedition record. The Ducie website is http://ducie2008.dl1mgb.com/ .
Other DX program speakers and programs will be announced later.
In addition, the LSDXA http://www.dxer.org click on LSDXA, will have its
usual plethora of door prizes for both the DX dinner and the two days of
DX programs at Ham Com.
Donors already committed include: Alpha Radio Products, Array
Solutions-WX0B, Buddipole, Ten-Tec, QRZ DX, and W4MPY. The list will
continue to grow up until dinner and program times.
Tom Anderson, WW5L, an LSDXA vice-president and its information director,
said both the DX dinner and the daily DX programs will have some new
donors in 2008, in addition to those contributing in past years. "If you
miss the DX dinner or the DX programs, you lose!"
Anderson said.
