Doug had mentioned buying the aluminum fence wire, also.  I asked Tom, the
owner of Zero Five and he said that depending on the salinity of the soil,
aluminum will break down very quickly, sometimes in as little as six months.
That is why he recommends insulated #14 copper stranded.  I bought 2000' of
it already.  I got two of them at lows for $30 a 500' roll and the other two
I had to get at the electrical supply store for $45 per roll.  I am going to
start with a little over 40 radials and go from there.  Thanks for the
input, though!

Rwanda is next on the list!!!  This will be a totally new one for me!

#16 ga alum wire on sale for $20 a roll.......................
