A DXpedition to Papua New Guinea rare IOTAs OC-181 Garove Is. and OC-041
Witu Is. is planned
starting mid-October.
One of the 6 team members had to cancel, so we can accommodate one more
person.

We will go to islands off NE PNG OC-181 and OC-041 on a live aboard dive
boat Barbarian II. Provides

transportation, food, A/C cabins, laundry, ship to shore transit. Cost for
the boat charter is
approx. USD $4500 each.
Organizer Derek Cox <g3khz at derekcox.plus.com> has used this ship before
and says it is top notch for

DXpeditioning. Derek has been to P29 several times and  has all the
protocols lined up.

I used some American miles to get to Brisbane, the Air Niugini flights
from there cost USD$1200.
Otherwise it would have been about USD$3100 total.
You can also go through Singapore, perhaps for a bit less less paying full
fare or about the same
with use of miles to Singapore.
