I'm a SCARS member as well and SCARS is a CORA member.
I remember the "Collector and Emitter" from when I lived here the
first time around and sure do miss it. I understand the issues (and
costs!!) associated with a paper newsletter, but I bet there would
still be a demand for one. Maybe a paper one for those that aren't
net-literate and PDF for the rest of us? That still leaves the actual
editing, and, given that many clubs have given up their newsletters,
that could be an even bigger problem ...
Still, a newsletter is "push" media, versus a website, which is
"pull". With the former, you get it if you are a member. It's in
your face. With the latter, you have to remember to go find the info.
"Push" still has it's place, paper or electronic.
