Come to think of it, I never heard the later either!

But it did appear to be more plausible!

During HHolidays there used to be a regular pilgrimage to the Chuck House.

I've never heard "Coy" and "Buy" in the same sentence!

Unless it was in the form of a pointed question.  One example 
would be something like:

"Would you like me to BUY your lunch COY"??
