Hi again, Kim:
I'm just north of Stillwater. The figures could be correct for the
shunt-fed tower.

Subject: [OKDXA] Impedance Bridge?
Does anyone near Norman have an impedance bridge I could use? I need
to figure out what the feed impedance is of my short, shunt-fed
tower. I have a Palomar noise bridge, but the reading I get from it
is nonsense: 65 + j685 ohms. The sign that cannot be right, because I
know that the resonant frequency is ~ 9.5 MHz. Since I want to make
an L-network to match it, I need to know what the feed impedance is
so that I can build what I need.
Whatever the impedance is, it's way out there. My Ameritron ATR-15
cannot match it at the low end of the band and neither can the
built-in tuner in my Orion II.
