Hi Christian

I used your info earlier today on my pages (crediting you, of course!)
but it's since transpired (through Carlos TI8II) that TI9KK has now been
cancelled altogether - some issues occured apparently - they could go to
Cocos, but any operation would've been illegal..

The TI9K operation is now the TI9KK operation, with a change  of
callsign.  The operation was originally scheduled from Cocos  Island
for February 4-16, so it would have been starting today.  AA4NN,  Joe,
says there is now a delay due to a Costa Rican requirement for a  five-
day waiting period and public notice of a callsign change.  Some  of
the ops made the five-hour bus trip to San Jose, the capital, to be  at
the Telecommunications Ministry office at opening time this morning  to
try to get the waiting period waived.  Joe says at best it will now  be
Wednesday, February 6, before they leave the mainland for Cocos.   The
boat captain has been notified and is standing by.
