My good friend and ultimate dxer ( has them all) and CW tester K8MFO for  yrs 
had 2 930's. Loved them dearly and said they were the best radios ever made.  
He has sold all his 930's and now owns 2 K3's.
I imagine TM will pop in here soon but he has told me that his K3 is the  be
st he's owned and he's a fair to middlin contester............
 
My only rip on the K3 is the display.......I absolutely loathe an amber  
display....Cannot handle looking at any radio with amber display for more than  
half an hour. This is my own eccentricity which in no way has ever effected the  
performance of the radio.....................
 
So I continue with an inferior Pro ll but blissfully operate in front of  
it's most excellent display..............
