Froggy:

I usually submit two or three times a year. Since moving down here I
usually submit at the Jackson Hamfest, Birmingham Hamfest, and the
Huntsville Hamfest. But since I will not be going to Huntsville this year I
will wait until February and submit at the Jackson Hamfest. I do not have
any totally new entities to submit but I have one CW and five band cards to
submit right now. I just like to stay current so in case of a disaster at
the house I am not out any cards. I lost my hamshack to a fire once and I
had never done a submission and I lost all of my cards and the logbook. I
try to be proactive now and of course LOTW helps out tremendously. I am
current on my LOTW submissions and just lack these cards to be checked. I
hope you get you 9X card sometime in the near future. I had never seen a
DXpedition state that you had to donate at least 25 Euros ($40) to get your
cards early. I was just glad to see them on LOTW. But I did get a 20 meter
contact that I did not think was any good and I did not submit to them back
on the card. I had marked it invalid in my logging software and did not ask
for confirmation. He sent a note in with it and said he found it in the log
and put it on the card. I guess there were issues with their online log
that they are working through. I am glad to get the new band count, anyway.

Alan, N5PA
