[OKDXA] Ubuntu and XP

I run a dual boot PC at home with Windows XP Pro and Ubuntu. Most of the
time I am using Ubuntu because it is much faster and takes a much smaller
footprint. I have two disk drives and boot using a GRUB boot. About the
only think I use Windows for is DX4WIN and WriteLog, which are still the
best programs for me. I am head of an IT Department that manages 1200
desktops and we are looking at moving to a Linux Desktop instead of Vista.
Vista is way too fat! Ubuntu loads with just one CD and it seems to always
find all the hardware and drivers. It is easy to install. I just wish that
the major Ham Radio software vendors would make a copy available for Linux
Distributions. I doubt that will happen because most programmers only have
expertise in one operating system. I enjoy using Ubuntu and Open Office.
