BTW: Open SuSE released their final version of " 10.3 " on Thursday.
Tried it, liked it, but didn't love it. New version of Ubuntu coming out
in 10 days. See http://www.ubuntu.com for more. I'm having better luck
with the beta kubuntu than I did with the new SuSE and am running it
now. SuSE still has issues with loading codecs for web multimedia (it's
easier than it used to be, but still not without challenges) and for
whatever reason it may not like the hardware I'm running. Slow, clunky,
the tell-tale was trying to play a little gtetris... Not that I'm into
Tetris, but if anything tells you there's an issue it would be the
keyboard lag I was seeing with Tetris. The screen was running close to a
second behind the keyboard and there's no way that should be happening.
Hardware is a Dell GX-260 (P4 @ 2.8 gHz, 512 megs o'ram). Intel 845
chipset in what should be a very non-exotic box.

So far the only bad things Kubuntu has done to me was blasting out the
dual-boot config in GRUB (Win XP is still intact but it's no longer a
boot option) which can be fixed with some command line editing, plus it
won't print to a LaserJet III. SuSE wouldn't print, either, so it could
be something so simple I can't see it. XP prints fine, I can print
'Hello World' through Linux, but as for a properly formatted page? Ain't
happenin'... When did HPGL-5 become unsupported? Musta' been while I was
sleeping...

Anyway, groove to the Hallicrafters SWL rig. I know you want it... ;)
