Today, Saturday October 6, 2007 the United Nations Staff Recreation Council
Amateur Radio Club (4U1UN) located in the United Nations building in New
York City plan to once again be QRV with special call 4U50SPACE (Four United
Five Zero SPACE). N2UN, Tony, and LA5IIA, Johnny, will be the operators.
Activity will be on a mixture of bands most likely between 1700 and 2100Z.
The 4U50SPACE callsign may be QRV through October 10th. A good hint to
knowing when the operators are on the air, or about to go on the air, is
when you no longer hear the 4U1UN beacon, which can be found on: 14100,
18110, 21150, 24930 and 28200. For those not familiar with the NCDXF
beacons check out www.ncdxf.org/beacons.html. As of this moment there is no
word on any other possible days of operation for this special event
callsign. QSL via HB9BOU.
