I'll put a "note to write" on my list and remind me by July on the Mug.

I have just finished packing up the Mugs that have already sent their shipping
in plus several instate ones ( yours, Judy's and the Boy's ) and also a handful
to the out of state people who came to operate as Rovers with us.

Something like 70 total. I have also done my analysis of the logs and came
up with 174 out of state logs of which 105 are "eligible" for a Mug if they
want to
pick up shipping. I'll do emails to most of them notifying that they have
qualified.
If I loosen up the algorithm a bit and allow such calls as N5OT, N5AQ, W9MSE
etc. to be used then 124 of the 174 qualify! There are a bunch of spelling
people
out there. Surprised me a bit but also tells me we covered the bands quite
well with our "spelling bee". With instate logs we have a total of
224. Large.

One thing of interest and something I placed a simple little note in with the
Mugs. Mark's wife Theresa put his in the dishwasher the other night and some
of the print "flaked off". Bummer - but we went to work and hand washed a few
and that works OK.

A little slip of paper I placed in with the Mug says:

Here is your Centennial Mug for spelling OKLAHOMA during the 2007 Oklahoma
QSO Party. Thanks for joining us this year and we hope to see you in 2008. If
you sent funds greater than the shipping amount your contribution is
appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We have learned the Mug is NOT dishwasher safe!

I had no indication of that from the vendor but it is not a major deal since
I imagine many folks will put them on the shelf to admire! Some of the folks
sent an extra $5 or even $10 to help out. A guy in Alaska sent $20. Lot's of
work but I think we made an impact on this year's band activity. The other
QSO parties that have been on have also been helped by our efforts. The
Florida guys told me so in an email when I sent in my log - so it goes.
