The BS7H DXpedition to Scarborough Reef continues to operate from four
stations on four different rocks. All four stations are expected to
QRT at 2359Z on Saturday, May 5th. No word on if all four will
simultaneously stop at the same time or if they will take one station
off the air followed one by one of the others.

Finally got them on 40 this morn...................Big sig here on the
"Lily
Pad" on a dipole...So for anyone with a Yagi they must hv been S9++.

I am deeply sadden to report to you all that John Petersen, KM5ES
suddenly passed away today at his home in Eufaula, Oklahoma.
John was 49 years old.

John's contributions to SWOT were numerous. John Petersen was SWOT's
past Chairman, current Vice Chairman, Net Manager and Webmaster.
Besides an important asset to this organization, he always was willing
to help anyone in this hobby, and most of all a wonderful friend to
those who knew him.

I do not know of any funeral plans at this time. As soon as they are
known, someone will post them on the Yahoo Group Page and the SWOT
Homepage mail-list.

Art Jackson
KA5DWI - Chairman

I am pretty sure that I got him on 40 CW this morning at 1111Z. Will have
to wait and check their logs when available. CW is not my strongest area.

I'm not worried about them getting it, I am concerned about me.

Dave:

Congratulations Dude! Way to go! This will be one that I have to wait
until another DXpedition goes because I was in the midst of moving to a new
house. So I will wait another 10-15 years for someone else to brave going
to Scarborough Reef. I am proud for you Dave! Good Hunting!

73,
Alan, N5PA
