[OKDXA] GC Hamfest

Coy is correct about more locals Friday. People looking for "deals and
steals" do all their buying BEFORE the show opens on Friday (during setup
between noon and 5pm). Friday evening is LOTS of locals, but all the buying
is the tail end of "deals and steals" and people with money burning their
pockets.

Saturday morning is the best traffic. Some die hards wait until the bitter
end hoping for a "this isn't worth carrying back to the car" deal.

Friday is the busiest. Saturday morning is pretty good, but things start to
die by noon.

Does anyone have experience with how busy the hamfest is on Friday?

My Dad (W5JHJ) will have some stuff to sell there. His health won't permit
him to attend, so I'll be there on my own selling some stuff from what's
left of his little radio shop. I'll have a coupe of items as well. If it's
worth the effort I'll be there on Friday evening.
But if it's usually pretty dead, I'd just as soon only show up for Saturday.

Any thoughts?

P.S.: He has a couple of HR2510s and a couple of other 10 m rigs called the
Emperor. All are NIB. We'll have some other miscellaneous stuff there, too
(a couple of Vibroplex Presentations and a few of the Vibroplex Deluxe
models and various other small bits and pieces).
