Hi everyone,
Some of you may have had a tough time getting a QSL fro Joe 7Q7BP due to his UK-to-Malawi schedule and time commitments. He and his wife Janet are fascinating individuals who are working very hard to contribute to the country of Malawi.
If you are needing QSLs from Joe (see list of call signs in his note below), please send me COMPLETE QSO information as if you were filling out a QSL. I'll be sure we get it to you if he is able to verify the Q.
PLEASE DO IT RIGHT AWAY! JOE AND JANET (ALSO 7Q7 YOU MAY HAVE QSO'D ON RTTY) WILL BE HERE IN 2 DAYS (MONDAY), WILL ATTEND THE OKC LUNCHEON WEDNESDAY, AND LEAVE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
Also, note his willingness to do a presentation. I'll check with Coy to see if the OKC Wednesday luncheon is an appropriate opportunity.
73, Ken K5KC
Hi Ken and Lynn,
Thanks for your e-mail, we have been off the air for a while, no network or e-mail connection up in the Grand Canyon area. Having a wonderful time everywhere and we are really enoying ourselves. Back in Phoenix now and on the air again so all is on schedule. Will do the confirming of flights tomorrow but do not see any problems and we are looking forward to seeing you on Monday. We have no funny problems with eating, drinking, sleeping - you name it, and we can normally turn our hand to anything. Very easy to please, so no worries. Any other hams in your area that you know of who are in need QSL cards I do have all my logs with me and some cards. We are also carrying the PowerPoint presentation which we gave to a couple of radio clubs in the Lynchburg area, so if you have a group or radio club who would like to see that you are welcome. You'll probably need a projector, it takes about 35 minutes and is aimed at all-comers, not just for ham radio. Maybe we can download a copy on to a flash disk and leave it with you. See what you think. Talk to you later, or see you Monday, whichever comes first. Take care. Very best 73's and 88's from both of us. GL es DX. BCNU. Janet and Joe.
