[OKDXA] Impending Ice Storm

Guys,

I'm probably going to regret saying this. I've seen the elements on the 
Mosley Classic 36 grow
to 3 - 4" in diameter a couple times during the 32 years it's been in the 
air here. It still looks like
it did when first installed. If ice brings it down, the Pro 67b will 
replace it. Reckon i've been lucky.

Here's hoping we all escape this mess on its' way through OK. Good luck to 
all of us. Now to the
shop building and make sure the Kohler is up to running when the power 
goes out.

Kim,

I think the wording below the pix tell how much ice was on the elements. 
The storm that took out the KT-34XA was not all that windy.  The 2nd ice
storm had winds 45 to 50 mph.  That is what actually broke the T-12 in
half.  I had it pointed into the wind but that didn't help.  It starting
galloping, maybe undulating is a better word.  Anyway, it eventually broke
in half and the front of the antenna went airborne over the top of the
back part.  I watched it happen and was in tears.
